How long does Investor KITAS take?

If your PT PMA company is already set up and active, the Investor KITAS itself usually takes around 3 to 7 weeks: a few days for eligibility review, 1–2 weeks to prepare documents, and 2–5 weeks for immigration processing. If you still need to set up the company, add the company setup time on top.

Those numbers assume your paperwork is clean. Here's where the time actually goes.

Stage 1: Eligibility review (1–3 days)

We check your PT PMA structure, your role (director or commissioner) and whether the company meets the investment requirements. This is where most problems are caught early — and cheaply.

Stage 2: Document preparation (1–2 weeks)

You'll need your passport (with at least 18 months of validity), the company deed and Ministry of Law approval, the NIB, the company tax number (NPWP), the shareholder register and, for an active company, the LKPM report.

The slowest part is usually the company documents, not the personal ones.

Stage 3: Immigration processing (2–5 weeks)

Once submitted, timing is in immigration's hands. It varies by office and season.
